What is the Sisos 360º course?

 

 

The Sisos 360º course is a comprehensive and practical training program that equips professionals with the skills to safely and effectively remove impacted teeth. It combines advanced theory, hands-on practice with biomodels, and supervised clinical practice. Over two intensive days, participants learn case classification, simplified surgical protocols, a digital approach to planning, complication management, and perform surgeries on real patients, providing a complete and collaborative experience. Ideal for those looking to master every stage of impacted tooth removal.

Course Program

Day 1: Theoretical Session

  • Case Classification: Identification and differentiation between simple and complex cases.

  • Anatomy: Detailed review of relevant anatomy for impacted tooth removal.

  • Imaging: Radiographic interpretation of impacted teeth, including anatomical areas to avoid.

  • Equipment and Instruments:

    • Piezo approach: advantages and indications.

    • Handpiece and bur approach: pros, cons, and usage contexts.

  • Simplified Protocols: Basic steps to ensure predictable and safe outcomes.

  • Complete Step-by-Step Guide: Detailed protocol for each type of impacted tooth, with tips and tricks.

  • Digital Approach:

    • How to create a surgical guide.

    • Other impactions: canines, premolars, and incisors. Access for orthodontic traction.

    • Development of customized biomodels for surgical planning.

  • Medication Protocols: What to prescribe and at which specific stages of the process.

  • Common Complications: Most frequent complications and management strategies.

  • Live Surgery: Observation of a live surgery performed by the instructors, demonstrating the approach of an experienced clinician.

  • Hands-On Practice with Biomodels: Practical exercises using biomodels similar to the clinical cases to be operated on the following day.

  • Case Discussion: Analysis of the clinical cases to be operated on the next day, with time for questions and clarifications.

 

Day 2: Practical Session

  • Student Surgeries: Procedures performed in pairs, with each duo operating under supervision.

  • Observation and Collaborative Learning: Students have the opportunity to watch their colleagues’ surgeries, fostering knowledge exchange and experience sharing.
