O Dr. Paulo Carvalho é o diretor pedagógico do curso. Todas as sessões práticas e teórico-práticas são acompanhadas lado a lado por ele. O número restrito de vagas garante precisamente a disponibilidade total de tempo e foco para que haja perfeita individualização e personalização do ensino. A maioria das aulas teóricas estarão igualmente a cargo do Dr. Paulo, sendo que alguns temas teóricos específicos do programa contarão com a participação de convidados externos.

Existem apenas 8 vagas. Pretende-se ter um número limitado e restrito de alunos, de forma a garantir um grande volume de casos clínicos para cada binómio e para que o formador consiga dedicar total atenção a cada um.

Há algumas premissas que devem estar claras antes da candidatura. Pretende-se dos residentes um compromisso com total respeito pelas regras da casa, o que inclui as regras de funcionamento da clínica e o bem-estar final dos pacientes. Por muito que o aluno esteja a pagar pelo curso, isso por si só não o iliba de responsabilidades nem lhe permite abstrair-se do compromisso e das metas da formação. Assim, não serão tolerados atrasos sucessivos nem faltas injustificadas, havendo uma frequência mínima. É fundamental saber trabalhar em equipa e não invadir o espaço e tempo de atenção dos co-formandos. A formação requer disponibilidade para, se necessário, planear casos clínicos e comunicar com laboratórios fora do horário da residência. O uso de lupas de aumento e máquina fotográfica não é mandatório mas é extremamente aconselhado.

Sempre à quarta-feira, salvo se, e por concordância de todos, algum ajuste de força maior seja necessário ao longo do programa.

Por se tratar de uma residência de longo termo não é possível organizar de antemão os procedimentos que estarão disponíveis tal como é feito por exemplo numa formação de fim de semana ou mesmo num curso modular. O espírito desta residência é estar presente numa clínica real, com tudo o que implica de imprevisível no que toca ao número e tipo de casos clínicos. Nas últimas formações os alunos realizaram diferentes tipos de enxerto de tecido conjuntivo, aumentos de volume de crista com regeneração de tecidos moles, recobrimentos de recessões em dentes e implantes, arcos totais sobre implantes do tipo FP1, cargas imediatas e provisionalização parciais e totais, implantes imediatos, regenerações ósseas e reabilitações protéticas de todo o tipo de casos.

Each participant executes a sinus lift surgery and assists a colleague in another one. We typically execute the lateral wall technique. In some cases, exceptionally, we may use a crestal technique.

A selecção dos candidatos é baseada numa entrevista, no teu currículo, e num exame teórico. Estes exames servem para conseguirmos avaliar o teu nível. O exame teórico consta de um conjunto de perguntas de escolha múltipla. A nota é importante na decisão de entrada. Para estudares damos-te um conjunto de artigos uma semana antes da data do exame. Às terças feiras em horário pós laboral corresponde uma aula teórica. Cada turma prática fica com um dos restantes dias da semana. Por exemplo, um aluno pode estar numa turma à sexta feira mas ter a aula teórica juntamente com todos os colegas à terça feira.

Antes de te candidatares há algumas coisas que deves saber: Não é relevante para a candidatura os teus anos de experiência. Recém-licenciados são bem- vindos. Não é relevante para a candidatura que nunca tenhas colocado um implante. Não é relevante para a candidatura que tenhas colocado 10000 implantes. É relevante que possas aplicar o que te vamos ensinar. É relevante que saibas trabalhar em equipa. Se estás a pensar usar uma cunha, não percas tempo, isto não é para ti. Se estás à espera de aprender sem estudar, isto não é para ti. Se estás à espera de serviço de catering, de turismo, mordomias, etc. não é aqui. Fazemos um curto exame que se baseia em artigos. O exame é marcado contigo depois da entrevista inicial. Não gostas de artigos? Então isto não é para ti. Se procuras pacientes “para experimentar”, isto não é para ti. Se procuras escolher que procedimentos vais fazer, do estilo curso modular, não te candidates. Os ex-residentes Foramen de outra área têm vantagem no processo de selecção. Typically, a hybrid case i.e. 2 conventional implants in the anterior, 2 zygomatic implants and 2 pterygoid implants.

The course is aimed at dentists who want to learn modern and predictable techniques for impacted tooth extraction.

No. The course covers all types of impacted teeth, although the main focus is on the removal of wisdom teeth.

Each student will perform the extraction of 3 impacted teeth, with practical guidance from the instructors.

You will learn to: Identify and distinguish between simple and complex cases. Perform extractions safely and predictably, using readily accessible materials. Utilize new technologies to create digital surgical guides and biomodels of cases, valuable tools for training and planning. Manage common complications and apply effective pharmaceutical therapies.
